Regulated Training Provider

Body and Mind First Aid Training was founded by British Army veterans John Barry & Danny Leicester. Our instructors consist of a core group of veteran instructors, John, Danny, Ben and Tommy. Together we have a combined service time of over 40 years, with many operational tours.

Our hands-on experiences mean we have seen and all too often, had to deal with too many friends, colleagues and other veterans finding themselves in situations which could have been avoided had the right training and knowledge in relation to mental health been readily available.

We aim to deliver regulated First Aid for Mental Health Training far and wide whilst making this invaluable resource affordable and accessible for individuals and corporate clients regardless of organisational size.

We believe more people need to know more, talk more and most importantly listen more when it comes to mental health. Our mental health training aims to tackle stigma head on as well as empowering as many people as possible to start that all important conversation.

It’s not just CPR that saves lives.

Team

Why Us?

  • Our instructors are qualified first responders and hold prehospital care qualifications, these need regular and continual training to maintain.
  • We ensure all our instructors are CRB checked and insured.
  • We do not self-certify our qualifications. This means we are subject to regular and random auditing of all training from our awarding organisations.
  • We use new, state of the art digital manikins offering real time feedback and a visual representation of progression when learning and performing CPR.
  • We can deliver training from several awarding organisations including Qualsafe, Highfield and first aid awards.
  • We offer a broad range of courses and can deliver courses to suit your organisations needs.

‘Approved Providers’

The HSE have stated the following in their guidance to employers:

“As an employer, you have a number of options available to you when selecting a first aid training provider. HSE does not advocate, promote, or support any particular option. You should select the most suitable option for your requirements.”

This guidance gives organisations greater choice in selecting a training company however, Employers are obligated to ensure their provider is of a suitable standard to provide adequate training services.
